SO 50

SO 50 studio
Many of you have heard me talk about the new exercise studio I joined back in May. It has changed my life! It is called Strong Over 50, or SO 50 for short. It is in Sugarhouse, on 11th East and 13th South. It uses a new suspension system that is geared towards older people but benefits all ages. Instead of lifting weights it makes you use your own body weight as resistance, and the bar gives extra stability. I have lost 11 lbs but more importantly I have reshaped my body and greatly increased my energy and stamina. I used to spend 12 to 14 hours in bed each day before starting this program and was hard put to get in one workout a week. Now I workout 3 times a week (for an hour each time) and am incorporating cardio workouts on my own (although I overdid it, of course and had to cut back on all workouts for a few days) I now am ready to jump out of bed after 9 hours of rest and am buying new clothes.

Jordan Smith is one of the two owner/trainers. Here he is with his puppy Stitch, which he brings in on Fridays because we (the clients) insist on it. He (the puppy, not Jordan) licks our toes and faces while we work out and we love it.

Seven deadly sins project

 This is what I came up with for a class assignment on metaphor and concept. The subject is the seven deadly sins. I am very pleased with my results. I used pen and watercolors.
